Appreciatation
This space is dedicated to celebrating the wonderful moments our students have experienced during their journey. Whether it's a meaningful connection, a proud achievement, or a moment of growth, this is where gratitude lives. Take a moment to read through these reflections — written from the heart — as students express appreciation for the people, events, and memories that made a lasting impact on their lives.

"Miss Curtis was a school mum for me during my school years. I wasn't the easiest student – I struggled with classroom learning, got into my fair share of fights, and definitely wasn't always focused in lessons. Despite all that, Miss Curtis never gave up on me. She had a way of connecting with students like me, who didn't always fit the mold, and pushing us to see our potential.
What I appreciated most about Miss Curtis was her understanding and patience. She recognized that traditional classroom settings weren't always effective for everyone and found creative ways to help me and others succeed. Whether it was through one-on-one sessions, hands-on projects, or just a listening ear when things got tough, she was always there. Thanks to her support, I managed to pass all my GCSEs, which honestly felt impossible at times. Now, I even own my own cosmetics line business, something I never would have imagined back then!
Miss Curtis also had a unique way of empowering us, especially as young Black girls who were often labeled as "loud." She celebrated our voices and helped us understand our worth, which made a huge difference in our confidence and self-esteem. Her impact goes far beyond just academics; she taught us valuable life lessons and helped us grow into strong, capable individuals. I'm incredibly grateful for her guidance and highly recommend her services to any student looking for a supportive and effective educator."

I first met Sheree when I was 15 years old .From the moment I stepped foot into her class I could see how much passion she has for her profession and how she wanted the best for every single pupil who stepped into her classroom. The effort she puts into her students completely supersedes any other teacher I know. On a personal level, Sheree seen something in me as a young adult I didn't see in myself. She supported me by enrolling me on to her Boys Achievement programme and supported me in achieving x2 grade B in English when I was targeted a grade D! But from a personal level Sheree was there for me during difficult times at home and at school and was always there for me whatever the occasion - and that doesn't just speak about sheree as a teacher, but sheree as a person. She is truly one of the best at what she does. I am now working for a large utility company where I hone my skills in front of Audiences and multiple stakeholders. I know for a fact I wouldn't be where I am today without the guidance, teachings and mentorship of the wonderful Sheree Curtis. I cannot recommend Sheree enough, you would be working with not just a fantastic teacher but a truly wonderful human being.

I was taught English by Sheree at GCSE level at John Cleveland College in Hinckley. Her engaging style of teaching and passion to make a difference with her students were undoubtedly two reasons I did well in the subject as she helped guide me to securing an A in both English Language and English Literature. Her approachable nature and dedication to her work definitely made her one of the best teachers I had. I now work in open heart surgery as a Senior Cardiac Perfusionist at Glenfield Leicester, as well as a few other hospitals across the country, including Nottingham Spire, where I have been the Lead Perfusionist for the past year.
